For me, seeing a cheetah instils in me feelings of power, grace, agility and speed. Yet for all this, I never think that I’m looking at an animal that is designed purely for killing (except when they hunt…). They always look too relaxed, like life is just so simple.
You would swear the cheetah in this series was having a wonderful time posing for the camera. In fact if you could picture the lion from the Disney film Madagascar you would be very close to the mark. The only thing this cheetah didn’t do was roar and show off its teeth (mainly because cheetah’s can’t roar, although if this one could have, I’m sure it would have). It even climbed a tree for us to prove it’s not only leopards that are capable of doing so.
Despite all his personality and the feelings he provoked in us, as we watched him leave to do what it was that cheetahs did, he looked like nothing other than a singular, lonely animal surviving in a very big world.
